is nit calicut worth going ?
is it better than nit surat?

Which is best nit for civil, among trichy and warangal.or between suratkal and allahabad..

I think that NIT ALLAHABAD is best for CIVIL not only among NITS but in all IITs also after IIT ROORKEE.Government declares NIT ALAHABAD as center for quality improvement in CIVIL ENGINEERING.Also NIT ALLAHABAD has very high reputation in the market.

sir my AIR 14804 and my category rank is 2530(OBC).I am getting computer science in nit rourkela (second round) .Should i take it?

If you want to do only CS, then NIT Rourkela could be good choice for you. However you could get other better NITs if you are ready to take EEE or ECE, which are also good courses.

i think it is a good college
placement is great!!
as dce is changed to DTU
you cannot say anything about its placement after 4 years
it may go down
i think u should go for silchar

if ur asking for BTECH ...to get admission in nit u have to give AIEEE and secure a descent rank....the placement of top nit's are good...some of them even comparable to IIT.....
about foreign student NIT's have DASA scheme ...in which NRI's & foreign students can get admission based on there 12th percentage...but they have to pay more fee....

  • The NITs consist of 20 institutes dedicated to imparting quality education in engineering and technology at both graduate and post-graduate level. NITs are located at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Durgapur, Hamirpur, Jalandhar, Kozhikode (Calicut), Kurukshetra, Jamshedpur, Jaipur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rourkela, Silchar, Srinagar, Surathkal, Surat, Tiruchirapally and Warangal. Admission to undergraduate courses in all NITs takes place through a common entrance test called the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). On the other hand, admission to post-graduate courses takes place through various examinations such as Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), NITs MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) and Common Admission Test (CAT), etc.
